Upon
graduating from college with a concentration in fine art, I founded an artists' cooperative. Since we could not agree
on a gallery location, we decided to do group exhibitions. After 3 years as Predisent of the cooperative, I decided it would
be easier to go solo. For the next 7 years, I sold my fiber art at art fairs, galleries, and retail shops. Selling
my work was a huge turning point in my art career and the biggest compliment! In 1996, the Louisville Visual Art Association offered me a job as their gallery manager which I gladly
accepted. I managed their Sales and Rental Gallery at their downtown location. Three years later, I was
promoted to the exhibition coordinator and their off-site exhibition curator. I loved this job , it was a perfect match
for me. However, I was layed off in 2003. At the same time, my health was failing me, I could barely walk,
and so I decided it was time to write my book to help other artists to market their work. I have always been very passionate
about learning, sharing and marketing. Please read the testimonial page to see what my peers, students and clients
are saying!
